This installation, explores seed conservation and the history of cabbage in Ireland. Cabbage, native to the Atlantic coast, has been cultivated for millennia, but during British colonial oppression, Irish farmers were forced to rely almost exclusively on potatoes. When blight devastated crops between 1845 and 1852, it caused the Great Famine, while grain continued to be exported to England. However, cabbage was able to go wild and continue to grow outside the garden, providing nutrients in times of scarcity.
The handmade collages depict the three stages of cabbage growth: wild, cultivated and feral. They contain images from the Irish public archive (Duchas) and photographs taken during a trip to Ireland in 2023.

The collages are printed on cotton and measure between 3 and 5 meters.
