Jag är ny på denna ö (återigen)

In the installation “Jag är ny på denna ö (återigen)” I study swedish from the book “Engelska för fiskare”, as a reverse learning. The book ends up in my hands though my political family, the owner, Lars, studyed the book somtime in the 40s when it was usual for fihserman in the west coast to travel to England and Scotland.
Some notes made by him are mixed with those made by me in coping paper. The book looses it’s form. It’s a conversation.
On the wall: One photograph taken by him facing land; I stand on shore looking in his direction? Sculptures of clay and algae are mounted inside a frame with photographs of white rock veins.
The installation opens with a poster where I offer company when going out to fish.
